Option #1 – THE CR-1 CEILING RECEPTACLE BRACKET

THE CR-1 bracket is a logical choice when the connection to the actuator will be in a hard ceiling and usually only a few feet from the damper.

SO . . . HOW DOES IT WORK ?

Step 1 – Mount the CR-1 on any industry-standard T-Grid. Fasten with 2 self drilling s/m screws. No support framework, misc hardware, or gang boxes are required..

Step 2 – Plug the ZSA-1 power cable into the connector on top of the bracket. Any excess cable can be wrapped around the bracket neck for a neater installation.

Estimated time for steps 1 & 2 . . . 4 to 5 minutes

Next, wait for the ceiling panels to be installed.

A typical view of what the balancing tech will see after removing the yellow debris protector from the RCA plug (arrow). The threaded hole for the cover plate (arrow) is also visible.

After air flow has been set using the HHC-1 controller, steps 3 & 4, installing the cover plate completes the task.

Step 3 – Remove the CR-1 ‘finger’, which serves as a location marker during construction. Rotate it 90-120 degrees, 2 or 3 times until it breaks off.

Step 4 – Insert the threaded stem of thecover plate into the threaded hole and snug it up to the ceiling with a flat blade screw driver. The stem length allows for panel thickness of 1/2″ thru 2″. The 2-3/8″ cover plate is flat white for field painting. Also available in 2B satin stainless.
